One of the most annoying stains that can occur on our sunglasses are those caused by white wine spills. Not only is this type of stain hard to remove, but it can also be embarrassing if you are out in public and have to deal with a pesky white wine stain on the bridge or arm of your glasses.

How To Get Rid Of It?

Fortunately, there are a few easy steps you can take to get rid of a white wine stain from your glasses. Here are some tips:

  • If the stain is fresh and still wet, use a soft cloth to dab at it and blot up as much of the liquid as possible. Be sure not to rub or scrub too hard as this can damage lenses.
  • If the stain is dry, use a mild soap or rubbing alcohol to gently scrub it out. Again, use a soft cloth when cleaning and be careful not to damage the lenses.
  • If the stain still persists, try using a cotton swab dipped in vinegar or lemon juice to remove it. Leave solution on for a few minutes before wiping off with a soft cloth.
  • Finally, once the stain has been removed, be sure to rinse the lenses off with warm water and dry them off with a microfiber cloth.
