What You'll Need

  • Dish soap or laundry detergent
  • Small bowl
  • White vinegar
  • Paper towel or clean cloth

Instructions

  1. Mix one tablespoon of dish soap or laundry detergent with two tablespoons of white vinegar in a small bowl. Stir to combine.
  2. Gently dab the soapy mixture onto wine stain using a paper towel or clean cloth.
  3. Once the stain is fully saturated, let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Rinse the area gently with cool water.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 until stain is completely gone.
  6. Allow the area to air dry completely before putting it in washing machine.

Tips

  • Be sure to only dab and not scrub the stain so that you don't damage the fabric.
  • If the stain has been sitting for an extended period of time, pre-treat the stain with a stain remover and allow it to sit for 15 minutes before proceeding with the above steps.
