To remove the stain, you’ll need:
- White vinegar
- Cold water
- Laundry detergent
- Washing machine
- Rinse the area with cold water as soon as possible. If the skirt is washable, rinse the item in a sink full of cold water. This will help prevent the stain from setting.
- Blot the affected area with a clean white cloth or paper towel. Be sure to blot; do not rub.
- Pour a small amount of white vinegar onto the spot. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before blotting it up.
- Apply laundry detergent directly to the stain and allow it to sit for 10 minutes.
- If possible, place the garment in a washing machine and wash using the hottest water temperature recommended on the care label. If the skirt is dry-clean only, bring it to a professional cleaner.
