White wine can be a beautiful addition to your evening, but it can also be a bit of a pain in the morning. When spilled on fabrics like silk charmeuse, white wine can be particularly tricky to remove. Here are some tips to make sure that you never have to worry about stains from white wine again.

As soon as you notice the spill, dab it up with a white towel or tissue. Whatever fabric you use for blotting should be white to prevent any further staining. Don’t rub or scrub the stain – this could cause it to spread and set into the fabric.
Club soda is a surprisingly good stain remover, and it works well on white wine stains. Pour the club soda directly onto the stained area and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, take a white cloth and gently dab at the stain. This can help to lift stain from the fabric.
For tougher stains, try a combination of vinegar and baking soda. Mix together a solution of one part vinegar and two parts water, then add a tablespoon of baking soda. Soak a white cloth in the mixture and use it to dab at the stained area. If necessary, you can also let the solution sit on the stain for a few minutes before blotti8ng.
For the worst stains, you may need to use a professional stain remover. Make sure to read the label carefully and test remover on an inconspicuous part of the fabric first to make sure that it won’t damage material. After applying the remover, rinse the fabric with cold water and then repeat steps above.
If all else fails, it may be time to consult a professional. Take the garment to a reputable dry cleaner and explain the situation. They will be able to assess stain and determine the best course of action.
