The first thing to do is to blot the stain gently with a paper towel or white cloth to remove as much of the excess liquid as possible. Then, mix together a solution of 1/2 teaspoon of mild detergent and 1/2 cup of warm water. Gently apply the detergent solution to the stain using a soft-bristled brush. Allow the solution to sit on the stain for up to 10 minutes. Finally, rinse the affected area with cold water, then lay the sari flat to dry.

If stain is still visible after the above steps, try dabbing it with a cloth soaked in undiluted white vinegar. Allow the vinegar to sit on the stain for a few minutes before rinsing with cold water and then laying the garment flat to dry. This method should help to lighten or completely remove the stain.

If necessary, you can also apply some rubbing alcohol directly to stain. Rub the alcohol into the stain carefully, then rinse with cold water. Blot the area with a cloth until it's dry. Note that alcohol can be damaging if used too frequently or on delicate fabrics, so take care to use it sparingly.

With just a few simple steps, you can say goodbye to those pesky white wine stains on your sari. Follow the above instructions, and you should have your sari looking like new again in no time at all.
