Prior to beginning the cleaning process, collect the supplies you will need. This includes: a sink with warm water, a non-bleach detergent, and a clean cloth for blotting.
Once you have your supplies, begin by removing any excess liquid. Carefully scrape off chunks of food or other particles, if necessary. If the stain is still wet, do not rub or scrub it. This can cause the stain to spread further and set deeply into the fabric.
Prepare a mild detergent solution in the sink by combining a few capfuls of detergent with warm water. Place the robe in the water and allow it to soak for 10-15 minutes.
Once the robe has been saturated with the detergent solution and allowed to soak, rinse robe thoroughly with warm water. Do not wring the robe out—Gently squeeze it instead.
Once the robe is rinsed, place it on a clean, dry cloth. Blot the stained area gently with a fresh, clean cloth and the detergent solution. This will help to lift the stain from the fabric fibers.
If the stain is still visible after the initial treatment, repeat process as necessary. For stubborn stains, you may need to repeat several times before stain is completely lifted.
Finally, hang robe up in a place where it can dry naturally. If the stain is still visible, let the robe air dry and check it again in a few hours. The stain should be gone, leaving your robe looking like new!
