When white wine or other acidic liquids come into contact with your Reebok sneakers, they can leave behind an unwelcome residue. To prevent the stains from setting in, it’s important to act fast and follow these steps:
- If your Reeboks are machine-washable, first try removing the stain with a cloth dampened with warm water. Gently blot stain with the damp cloth until enough of the liquid has been absorbed.
- If the stain remains after blotting, try a more aggressive approach by using a small amount of detergent mixed with a cup of warm water. Dip a soft scrubbing brush into the solution and use it to scrub the area gently. Rinse off detergent and repeat the process as necessary until stain has been removed.
- For tougher stains, you may need to use a stronger cleaner. Try mixing equal parts baking soda and laundry detergent, then apply the paste to stained area and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Scrub the stain gently with a soft brush and rinse off with a damp cloth.
- You can also try using a white vinegar and water solution to remove white wine stains from Reebok shoes. Mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water, dip a cloth into the mixture, and dab the stain until you no longer see any residue.
- If all else fails, try a commercial cleaner designed specifically for removing white wine stains from Reeboks. Follow instructions on the package and use only the recommended amount.
By following these tips and acting quickly, you can get your favorite pair of Reeboks looking as good as new!
