White wine stains can be tricky to remove and are best treated while they're still fresh. Once they've dried, they become even more difficult to get rid of.
Step 1: Blot the stained area with a clean cloth to absorb as much of the wine as possible.
Step 2: Apply a small amount of mild detergent directly to the stain and lightly rub the fabric together to create a lather.
Step 3: Rinse the detergent off the stain with cold water.
Step 4: Mix two parts white vinegar to one part cold water. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and dab it onto the stained area.
Step 5: Rinse the vinegar solution off using cold water.
If the stain remains, try using a commercial stain remover according to the instructions on the product's label.
When the stain has been removed, blot the area with a clean cloth to remove any excess moisture and allow it to air dry.
When dealing with delicate Paul Smith materials, it's always best to take preventative measures. This includes pre-treating materials with a stain repellent spray and avoiding spilling white wine in the first place!
