Using Home Remedies

One of quickest and easiest ways to remove a white wine stain from a parka is to use household items such as dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, and baking soda.

  • Dish soap is a great way to start off the cleaning process. Simply mix a few drops of dish soap with a gallon of warm water. Then, using a white cloth, dab and gently scrub the stain until it’s removed.
  • Hydrogen peroxide is another great home remedy for removing white wine stains from parkas. Pour a generous amount of 3% hydrogen peroxide onto the stain and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then, take a clean cloth and gently scrub away the stain.
  • Baking soda is a gentle yet effective cleaning agent. Make a paste with equal parts baking soda and water, apply it directly to the stained area, and let it sit for a few minutes. Finally, use a damp cloth to scrub away the paste and the stain.

Using Laundry Detergent

If you don't have the items mentioned above, laundry detergent is another good option to consider. Simply mix a small amount of detergent with warm water, and then use a white cloth to scrub the stain. Allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes before rinsing with a damp cloth.

When to Seek Professional Help

If stain doesn't come out after attempting any of the methods listed above, it's likely best to seek professional help. A reputable dry cleaner will be able to use specialized techniques to remove the stain without damaging your parka.
