As soon as you realize that you've spilled white wine on your pants, take a clean cloth or paper towel and blot the stain. Don't rub at stain – this will only cause it to spread and make it harder to remove. Blotting the stain will help prevent the wine from soaking into your fabric.
Once you have blotted stain, rinse it with cold water. This can help stop the stain from setting in and will make it easier to remove. Be sure not to scrub the stain – just gently rinse it until the water runs clear.
If the stain has already set in, try using a mixture of water and white vinegar as a spot treatment. Simply mix equal parts white vinegar and water and apply it directly to the stain. Let it sit for about 15 minutes before rinsing it with cold water. If stain is still visible after rinsing, repeat this process until the stain is gone.
If the stain persists, try using laundry detergent. Apply a small amount of detergent directly to the stained area and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Then, rinse it off with cold water. This can help dissolve the stain and remove it from your pants.
After you’ve tried the above treatments, it’s time to wash your pants. Be sure to follow the instructions on the care label and wash your pants separately to avoid getting the stain on other items of clothing. Once they’re washed, check to make sure the stain is completely gone before drying the pants.
Accidentally spilling white wine on your pants can be nerve-wracking, but it doesn’t have to be! With a little bit of patience and right products, you can get rid of white wine stains from your pants quickly and easily. Just remember to blot the stain immediately, rinse with cold water and then use a home remedy to spot treat the stain.
