Start by blotting as much of the white wine stain as possible with a lint-free cloth or paper towel. Then, mix together a solution of 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of water, and spread it over the stain. Leave the baking soda paste to sit on the stain for 15-20 minutes before washing.

When you’re ready to begin washing the garment, pretreat the area with a laundry stain remover such as vanish. Follow the instructions on packaging and then wash the overalls inside out in cold water using a mild detergent.

Once the overalls are washed, inspect the fabric to make sure that the stain is completely gone. If there’s still some residue remaining, repeat the process. We recommend checking the garment even after it has been through the dryer, as the heat of the dryer can sometimes cause stains to set in further.

With regular care, white wine stains don’t have to ruin your overalls. Try this easy method for removing white wine stains and it will be like the accident never happened.
