How to Remove White Wine Stains from Nylon Fabric
Nylon fabric is a popular material for clothing, carpets, and furniture, but if you’ve ever had an accident involving white wine, you know it can be difficult to clean. Fortunately, there are some steps you can take to remove those pesky stains.

What You’ll Need
- Dishwashing liquid
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Clean cloths or sponges
Removing the Stains
- Mix two teaspoons of dishwashing liquid into one quart of warm water.
- Soak a clean cloth or sponge in mixture and apply it to the stain.
- Let the solution sit on the stain for 15 minutes.
- Blot the stain with a clean cloth to remove as much of the mixture as possible.
- Mix one tablespoon of white vinegar and one teaspoon of baking soda into one quart of warm water.
- Dip a clean cloth or sponge into the solution and apply it to the stain.
- Let the solution sit on the stain for 15 minutes.
- Blot the stain with a clean cloth to remove as much of the mixture as possible.
- Repeat the process until stain is removed.
Additional Tips
- Don’t rub the stain as this can cause damage to the fabric.
- If the stain remains, try using hydrogen peroxide. Mix one tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide with one quart of warm water and apply it to the stain.
- If the stain still remains, try using oxygen bleach. Mix two tablespoons of oxygen bleach with one quart of warm water and apply it to the stain.
