The quicker you act, the better off you will be when dealing with white wine stains. Take a dry cloth or paper towel and quickly dab up as much of the wine as you can. Do not rub area as this will only cause wine to spread.
Once you have removed as much wine as possible, sprinkle baking soda over the area. This will help dry out what is left and also help lift away any lingering stains. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes before vacuuming up or wiping away with a damp cloth.
Mix together a small amount of vinegar and detergent in a bowl. Use a brush or cloth to rub the mixture into the area. The vinegar is an acid that can help break down the stain while the detergent helps to lift away any mess. Once the area looks clean, you can use another damp cloth to gently wipe away the residue.
Finally, use a damp cloth and cold water to wash the entire area. Allow the area to air dry before you make your bed. You may need to repeat these steps until the stain is completely gone.
