No one wants to deal with the frustration of trying to get pesky white wine stains out of their favorite lingerie. But don't let a wine spill put a damper on your wardrobe–you can easily tackle the stain before it sets in.

Treat the Stain Immediately

The key to removing a white wine stain is acting fast. As soon as possible, blot the stain, then rinse it with cold water. Don't rub the stain – it will only make it worse. This will help to prevent the stain from setting in.

Using Soap and Water

Fill up a basin or bucket with cold water, then add a few drops of dish soap. Swish the soap around in water until it is fully dissolved. Place your lingerie in the soapy water, making sure it is completely submerged. Let your lingerie soak for at least 30 minutes, then rinse it with plain, cold water.

Removing Stubborn Stains

If the stain still won't come out, mix equal parts of vinegar and water and use a cloth to dab mixture on the stain. Let it sit for about five minutes before rinsing it away with cold water. With this method, the stain should come out in no time.

Preventing Future Stains

To prevent future white wine stains, never wear lingerie when drinking wine or eating foods that contain red or white wine. Wear an apron or other protective clothing when needed. If stain does happen, immediately take the lingerie off and treat stain as stated above.

Wrapping it Up

Getting white wine stains out of your lingerie doesn't have to be a challenge. Follow these easy steps, and you'll be able to say goodbye to those pesky stains in no time.
