Method 1: Use a Cleaning Solution
- Mix equal parts water and vinegar in a bowl.
- Dab a cloth in the solution and use it to blot stain on leather.
- Keep dabbing until stain is removed.
- Repeat if needed.
Method 2: Use Detergent and Water
- Mix a teaspoon of mild dishwashing detergent with a cup of warm water.
- Dip a cloth in the mixture and wring it out.
- Gently rub the affected area of the leather, going with grain.
- Rinse the cloth in clean water and use it to remove any remaining detergent residue.
- Let the leather air dry.
Method 3: Use Nail Polish Remover
- Put a small amount of clear nail polish remover onto a cotton ball. Make sure that you select one that doesn't contain acetone.
- Test it in an inconspicuous area of leather first. If the leather's color doesn't change, proceed with the cleaning.
- Gently dab the stained area with the cotton ball, going with the grain.
