Steps for Cleaning White Wine Stains from Lace

  1. Start by dabbing the stained area with a white cloth. Do not wipe or rub, as this could further set the stain.
  2. Mix a bowl of warm water and 1 teaspoon of distilled white vinegar and stir with a spoon until mixture is even.
  3. Using the cloth or cotton swab, apply the vinegar and water solution to stained area. Be sure to soak the affected area thoroughly.
  4. Leave the solution sitting for at least 15 minutes.
  5. After the time has passed, rinse the area with clean warm water.
  6. If the stain persists, mix a small amount of laundry detergent with warm water and apply to the stained area. Let sit for 30 minutes before rinsing with clean water.
  7. If the stain is still visible, it may be time to take garment to a professional cleaner.
