The key to getting rid of white wine stains is to act fast. Grab a dry cloth and dab the stained area as soon as you can. Don't scrub or rub at the stain; this will only set it.
Once you've blotted up any excess liquid, you'll want to pre-treat the area with a laundry detergent. Put a small dab of detergent directly on stain, and then leave it be for 15 minutes. After that, rinse the jacket and then give it a full wash in cold water.
If stain persists after washing, try using a store-bought stain remover such as Shout, OxiClean, or a similar product. Apply the remover according to its package directions, then launder item again. For the best results, use an enzyme-based detergent when washing the item.
If all else fails, take the jacket to a dry cleaner. While this may cost more money, it's worth it to get the stain out. If you think the wine was spilled recently, be sure to mention it to the dry cleaner. They may be able to use special techniques to get the stain out.
With these simple steps, you should be able to get that nasty white wine stain out of your favorite jacket. Good luck!
