Spills and accidents are inevitable, especially when it comes to your favorite crafts and clothing. Irish crochet is an especially delicate material that's easy to stain, especially when it comes to white wine. If you've stumbled upon a white wine stain on your precious Irish crochet, here are the steps you should take to easily remove it.

Step One: Blot Area

The first step in removing white wine stains is to blot the area with a clean cloth or towel. Blotting will help prevent the stain from sinking further into the fabric and drying. This step is important because if the stain is not taken care of as soon as possible, it will be much harder to remove at a later time.

Step Two: Make a Mixture for Cleaning

Using a bowl, mix together one tablespoon of white vinegar, one teaspoon of dish soap, and two cups of warm water. Stir ingredients together until the solution is fully mixed.

Step Three: Apply the Mixture to the Stain

Once the mixture is ready, use a clean cloth or sponge to apply it to the white wine stained area. Make sure you gently scrub and work the solution into stain.

Step Four: Rinse and Dry

Once you have scrubbed the solution into the stain, rinse the fabric with cold water. Dry the area using a cloth or paper towel. If stain isn't completely gone after this process, repeat the steps until the white wine stain is completely removed from fabric.
