Step 1: Blot the Stain

First, blot the stained area with paper towels or a rag, pressing down gently to absorb as much wine as possible. Do not rub the stain. This could spread it and make it harder to remove. Be sure to use clean paper towels or rags.

Step 2: Soak in Cold Water with Detergent

Fill a sink with cold water and add a few drops of detergent. Place your hoodie in the water and let it soak for a few hours. Check every half hour to see if the stain is fading. If it’s not, let it soak a little longer.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Once the stain is gone, rinse the hoodie in cold water. Do not use hot water, as this could set the stain. Gently squeeze the hoodie to remove excess moisture, and then hang it up to air dry. Avoid putting it in the dryer, as heat could set the stain.
