How to Get White Wine Out of Hermes Without Damaging It

Method 1: Blot, Don’t Rub

To properly address a white wine stain, start by taking a clean, dry cloth and gently blotting the stain. Be sure not to press too hard on the fabric, as this could further damage the material.
Method 2: Pretreat With Vinegar
Once you have blotted the area with a dry cloth, the next step is to pretreat the stain before laundering. Fill a bucket or sink with lukewarm water and add ½ cup of white vinegar. After the pretreatment in vinegar and water, rinse the area with cold water. Then, apply a bit of mild liquid hand detergent to affected area and let it sit for about 10 minutes. When done, rub or blot the area gently with a cloth, but be careful not to rub too hard so as not to damage the material.
Method 4: Air Dry
Finally, air dry the cleaned area. Do not dry it with a dryer or allow it to get too hot, as heat can cause stain to set in more.
