What You Need
- White Vinegar
- Baking Soda
- Dishwashing Liquid
- Clean Towels
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Take the soiled item of clothing and blot the stain with a clean cloth to absorb as much of the liquid as possible.
- Mix equal parts white vinegar and dishwashing liquid in a bowl.
- Add a teaspoon of baking soda to the mixture.
- Using a clean cloth, gently rub the mixture onto the stained area.
- Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes.
- Rinse the area with cold water.
- Repeat steps as needed until the stain is gone.
Additional Tips
- If the stain is still present after the first attempt, try using a little bit of bleach on the spot. This should only be attempted on white gingham.
- It's best to attempt to remove the stain as soon as possible. If the stain has had time to set, removal process will be more difficult.
- It's always recommended that you test any cleaning agent in an inconspicuous spot on the garment before proceeding.
