Getting white wine stains out of furniture is a job most of us would rather not do, but it’s something that needs to be done. To make the task easier, it’s important to have the right cleaning supplies on hand. Here are some tips for removing white wine stains from furniture:

  • If stain is fresh, blot as much of the wine off fabric as possible. Use a clean, absorbent cloth or paper towel.
  • Mix a solution of warm water and laundry detergent, and apply it to the stained area using a soft brush. Gently scrub the stain until it starts to lift.
  • Once the stain has been removed, rinse fabric with clear, warm water to remove any soapy residue.
  • For tougher stains, add a few drops of white vinegar to the water and detergent solution, and scrub again. Be sure to rinse the fabric thoroughly afterwards.
  • When the stain is completely gone, if fabric is colorfast, you can spot-clean with a damp cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol. This will help to remove any lingering odors.

These steps should help you remove white wine stains from furniture in no time. If the stain persists, contact a professional cleaner to help.
