Step 1: Blot the Stain

Your first step should always be to blot the stain using a clean, dry towel. This will help remove any excess liquid from the surface of the garment so that your cleaning efforts can reach the source.

Step 2: Pre-treat the Stain with Washing Powder

To pre-treat the stain with washing powder, you'll want to make a paste with hot water and a powdered laundry detergent. Apply the paste to the stained area and let it sit for at least 15 minutes before washing. This will help break down the stain before you take it to the washing machine.

Step 3: Wash Using Hot Water

Once your garment is pre-treated, you can wash it in hot water (ideally at least 140 degrees Fahrenheit) on its own or with other whites. Make sure to set the cycle to a full cycle and use a high-detergent setting.

Step 4: Repeat Until the Stain is Gone

If the stain isn't completely gone after the first wash, you can repeat the pre-treat and wash steps until it has been fully removed. Be sure to avoid using any fabric softeners as they may set the stain.
