Accidents happen - and so do wine stains. Whether it's your favorite pair of jeans or a new shirt, white wine can linger and make it look dull and dingy. But don't worry - if you act quickly and use the right processes, you can avoid a permanent stain and restore your denim to its original glory.

Start by blotting up all of excess juice, using a clean paper towel. Gently pat stain, working your way from the outside of the stain inwards. Do not rub or scrub at the stain, as this can cause it to spread and settle further into the fabric.
Run some cold water over the back of the stain, and then dab off any remaining liquid with another paper towel. Make sure to use cold water only - warm or hot water can set the stain permanently.
Mix a small amount of mild detergent with cold water to create a solution. Apply it onto the stained area, gently rubbing solution onto the fabric. Allow detergent to soak for five to ten minutes, and then rinse the affected area with cold water.
Finally, add your denim item to the washing machine and launder as usual. If stain has still not been removed, repeat steps one through three before laundering again.
With some patience and the right steps, you can remove even the most stubborn white wine stains from denim. Just make sure to act quickly and use the right processes to avoid a long-lasting mark.
