Get Rid of White Wine Stains on Cotton Voile Easily
It can be a pain to get white wine out of fabric, but if you have some handy items lying around, it's not so hard to make your cotton voile as good as new. Follow these steps to easily remove white wine stains from cotton voile.

Things You'll Need
- Cold water
- Salt
- White Vinegar
- Absorbent cloth or paper towel
- Liquid laundry soap
- A heavy book
Directions
- Begin by soaking up as much of the spilled wine as possible with a paper towel or absorbent cloth.
- Mix one teaspoon of salt in one cup of cold water. Place the stained area into this salt solution and let sit for five minutes.
- Rinse off the area with cold water.
- Mix one tablespoon of white vinegar in two cups of cold water. Place the stained area into this vinegar solution and let soak for 15-20 minutes.
- After removing the affected area from the vinegar solution, apply a small amount of liquid laundry soap over area.
- Place an absorbent cloth beneath the stain and use your fingers to work the soap into the stained area in a circular motion.
- Rinse the area with cold water.
- Lay the fabric over a flat surface (such as a countertop) and cover the stained area with a piece of absorbent cloth.
- Place a heavy book on top of the absorbent cloth and leave it there overnight.
- When you remove the book next day, you should find that the stain has been removed.
