Accidents can happen. If you’ve gotten white wine on your corduroy, here’s what you can do:

  • Step 1: Blot up as much liquid as possible by pressing a clean rag over the stain.
  • Step 2: If the area is still damp, fill a bowl full of cold water and submerge the stained area. Let it soak for up to an hour and then rinse the garment with cold water.
  • Step 3: Place fabric on a dry towel and press down to absorb any remaining moisture. Place the garment in a sunny area and allow it to air-dry.
  • Step 4: If any stain remains, dab it with a mixture of one tablespoon of white vinegar and two cups of cool water. Allow the fabric to air-dry.
  • Step 5: If the stain is still there, treat it with a non-chlorine bleach or color-safe bleach and lukewarm water (following the instructions on the packaging). Rinse fabric in cold water before allowing it to air-dry.

If you take these steps, you should be able to remove white wine stains from your corduroy with ease. Just remember to check the care labels on the garment and act accordingly.
