What You'll Need

  • White vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • Salt
  • A few drops of mild liquid detergent
  • Cold water
  • A clean cloth or sponge

Instructions

  1. Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and cold water, or juice from 1 lemon with 2 cups of cold water.
  2. Add a few drops of liquid detergent.
  3. Dip a cloth or sponge into the solution and gently rub it onto the stain. Be careful not to rub too hard, as chiffon georgette is a delicate fabric.
  4. If necessary, add some salt to the solution and rub the stained area again.
  5. Rinse the stain with cold water.
  6. Repeat the above steps until stain is gone.

Additional Tips

  • To prevent further staining, avoid rubbing and scrubbing fabric.
  • Allow the stained garment to air dry completely before using again.
  • Be sure to follow manufacturer's instructions for laundering your garment.
  • It's always a good idea to spot test any cleaning solutions or detergents on a small, discreet area of the item before using on the whole garment.
