Step 1: Act Quickly
Act fast when you spill white wine on your board shorts. Blot up as much of the liquid as possible with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel.
Step 2: Pretreat the Stain
Pretreat the stain with a laundry pre-treatment spray such as Shout Advanced Action Gel before washing. Follow the directions on the package and then let shorts sit for 15 minutes before moving on to the next step.
Step 3: Wash the Shorts
Once the pre-treatment sits for 15 minutes, put the board shorts in the washing machine (set the water temperature to cold) with a regular detergent. Use regular cycle and wash with like colors.
Step 4: Check the Stain
Once the shorts are done washing, check the stain to determine if it's still present. If the stain is still there, repeat Steps 2 and 3.
Step 5: Dry the Board Shorts
Once stain is gone, dry the board shorts according to the care instructions on the label. Air dry or dry on the low setting in the dryer.
