What You Need

  • Paper Towels
  • Baking Soda
  • White Vinegar
  • Toothbrush
  • Mild Laundry Detergent

Instructions

  1. Blot the affected area on the belt with paper towels. Make sure to use light pressure so as not to spread the stain.
  2. Mix together baking soda and white vinegar to form a paste. Apply the paste to affected area on the belt and scrub gently with a toothbrush.
  3. Rinse off the paste with cold water.
  4. Apply mild laundry detergent to the stain and scrub the area gently with a toothbrush. Allow the detergent to sit on the stain for 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Rinse off detergent with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.
  6. If the stain remains, repeat steps 2-5 until it is gone.

Tips For Success

  • When dealing with white wine stains, act quickly! The sooner you take action, the better the chance of success.
  • Do not rub the stain as this will only cause it to spread further.
  • Test the cleaning solution on a small, inconspicuous part of belt first to make sure it won’t cause any damage.
  • Never put your belt in the washing machine as this could cause it to shrink or become discolored.
