What You’ll Need
- Oxygen-based bleach (such as OxiClean or Clorox 2)
- Water
- A small, clean bowl
- A soft, wet cloth
- Mild laundry detergent (optional)
Instructions
- Mix 1 tablespoon of oxygen-based bleach to 2 cups of water in a small bowl.
- Dab the stain with the wet cloth. Do not rub the stain, as this could damage the fabric.
- Soak the cloth in the solution for about five minutes, then wring it out until it is damp.
- Gently blot stain with the soaked cloth. Do not rub or scrub, as this could cause damage to the lace.
- Continue to dab the cloth over the stain until it begins to fade. You may need to apply more of solution to the cloth if it dries out.
- If the stain persists, mix 1 tablespoon of mild laundry detergent with 2 cups of water, and repeat steps #3 to #5.
- Allow the stained area to air dry. Once it is completely dry, check that the stain has been removed.
