If you notice the stain right away, it’s important to act fast by blotting away excess liquid with a clean cloth or paper towel. Be sure not to rub the apron, as this could set the stain and make it even harder to remove.
Sprinkle a few drops of laundry detergent onto the stain. Gently massage the detergent into the stain until it’s fully saturated. Let detergent sit for a few minutes before proceeding to step 3.
Using warm water, gently agitate apron. You may also soak the fabric in water before washing, depending on the severity of the stain. To avoid fading the color of the fabric, use a mild laundry detergent.
Hang the apron to air dry after washing. Avoid using a dryer as this could set the stain and make it even more difficult to remove.
If there are still traces of stain remaining, dip a Q-Tip into white vinegar and dab it onto the stain. This should help lift out any leftover white wine stains.
If the stains persist, repeat steps 2 through 5 until the stain has been completely removed.
