If you’ve accidentally spilled white wine on your abaya, it’s important to act quickly to avoid a stubborn stain. This guide will help you remove white wine stains from a variety of fabrics, depending on what type of stain remover you have on hand.

For Dry Stain:

  • Mix a teaspoon of white vinegar with a cup of water and pour the mixture over the stained area.
  • Using a cloth, gently dab the area in a circular motion.
  • Let the vinegar/water mixture sit for a few minutes, then wipe it off with a damp cloth.
  • Gently rub a liquid laundry detergent into the stain and let it soak for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse the area with cold water and let it air dry.

For Wet Stain:

  • Blot the area with paper towels, taking care not to spread the stain further.
  • Mix together a teaspoon of dish soap with a cup of warm water and pour the mixture over the stain.
  • Using a soft brush, gently scrub the area in a circular motion.
  • Rinse with cold water until the stain is gone, then air dry.

For Fresh Stain:

  • Soak up as much of the spill as possible with a paper towel.
  • Mix together a teaspoon of dish soap with a cup of warm water and pour the mixture over stain.
  • Using a soft brush, gently scrub the area in a circular motion.
  • Rinse with cold water until the stain is gone, then air dry.

For Stubborn Stains:

  • Mix two tablespoons of baking soda with one tablespoon of water to create a paste.
  • Rub the paste onto the stained area and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  • Rinse the area with cold water until stain is gone, then air dry.
