Whether you’re hosting a dinner party or just relaxing with a glass of white wine, that spilled glass can be a real mood dampener. While the thought of trying to remove a stubborn stain may seem overwhelming, getting rid of that pesky white wine stain doesn’t have to be a hassle.
Using a clean rag or paper towel, start by blotting the stained area. Do not vigorously rub the area, as this can spread stain and make it even larger. Move the rag in a circular motion until no more liquid is transferred onto the cloth.
White vinegar will help to break down the components of the stain, which can help to make it easier to remove. To make solution, combine one part white vinegar with two parts water into a bowl.
Using a clean cloth, dip it into solution and apply it directly to the stain. Allow the solution to sit and work on the stain for up to 5 minutes.
Using a clean cloth or paper towel, start blotting the stain until no more solution is transferred.
If the stain is still visible after the first application, reapply vinegar solution for up to 5 minutes and then blot the area again. Repeat this process until the desired results are achieved.
