What You'll Need:

  • White vinegar
  • A soft brush or toothbrush
  • Laundry detergent
  • Paper towels

Step 1: Remove any loose material

Using a paper towel, scoop up and discard any vomit material that is not stuck to surface of the wedges. Make sure to wear gloves to protect your hands from any bacteria present in the vomit.

Step 2: Apply white vinegar

Saturate the affected area with white vinegar using a cloth or a spray bottle. Allow the vinegar to sit for 10 minutes to allow it to work its way into the fabric.

Step 3: Scrub area

Using a soft brush or a toothbrush, gently scrub affected area. Work the stains out in a circular motion. Rinse the brush or toothbrush frequently with warm water to avoid spreading any bacteria.

Step 4: Apply laundry detergent

After thoroughly scrubbing the area, apply a small amount of liquid laundry detergent to the affected area. Rub the detergent into the fabric to dislodge any remaining vomit particles.

Step 5: Rinse and dry

Rinse the area with cold water until all the detergent is gone. Pat the area dry with a paper towel and allow it to air dry.

Additional Tips

  • Spray the affected area with an enzyme-based odor remover to help remove any lingering odors.
  • Do not place the wedges in the dryer until you are sure that stain is completely gone.
  • If the stain persists, try using a spot cleaner formulated for use on fabrics.
