Instructions

  1. First, scrape up any vomit residue from the material with a spoon or the flat edge of a butter knife.
  2. Soak the stain in cold water for 10-15 minutes to dilute the vomit.
  3. Mix together two parts warm water and one part liquid dish soap.
  4. Dip an old cloth into the solution and gently blot the stained area until the cleaner lifts the vomit out.
  5. Rinse the fabric in cold water and repeat if necessary.
  6. Once the stain is gone, launder fabric as normal.

Tips

  • Be gentle when blotting out the stain so you don’t damage the delicate fabric.
  • For tougher stains, mix together one tablespoon of baking soda and one cup of warm water and apply it directly to the stain.
  • To prevent stain from setting, work quickly and do not allow fabric to dry before laundering.

Warnings

  • Do not use hot water when cleaning the stain or attempting to remove the odor, as this can set the stain.
  • Do not dry the fabric in a clothes dryer until the stain has been removed, as heat can set stain.
