Vomit stains can be an eyesore, especially when it's on one of your favorite t-shirts. But don't worry - removing the stain can be done without too much hassle. The key is to act quickly before the stain sets in.

Step 1: Blot the Stain

The first step is to remove as much of the excess vomit as possible. Gently dab the stain with a damp cloth or paper towel, being careful not to spread the stain any further. You may need to rinse out the cloth or paper towel periodically if it becomes too saturated.

Step 2: Treat the Stain

Once you've blotted most of the vomit, you'll want to treat the stain to break down any remaining residue. There are a variety of treatments you can use depending on what you have available. Here are some popular options:

  • White vinegar: Soak the stain in a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and warm water. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then blot the area with a clean cloth.
  • Dish soap: Create a paste of dish soap and baking soda, then gently rub into the stain using a soft bristled brush. Rinse off with clean water, then dab off any remaining residue.
  • Rubbing alcohol: Pour rubbing alcohol directly onto the stain, then scrub gently with a toothbrush. Rinse off with clean water, then blot dry.

Step 3: Wash Shirt

Once the stain is treated, it's time to wash shirt. Pre-soak the shirt in cold water for 15 minutes, then launder as normal in a washing machine with a mild detergent. Remember to never put the shirt in the dryer until you're positive that all the vomit has been removed.
