Pre-treatment is an important step in any stain removal process. To pre-treat vomit stains on a tracksuit, mix a spray solution of 1 teaspoon of mild liquid detergent and 8 ounces of cool water in a spray bottle. This will help to break up vomit and make the subsequent cleaning process easier.
After pre-treating the stain, soak the soiled area of the tracksuit in lukewarm water for 10 to 15 minutes. This will help to further loosen the vomit and make it easier to remove.
Using a sponge or soft brush, gently scrub the fabric at the stained area. Make sure to use only light pressure when scrubbing, as too much pressure might cause damage to the fabric. It may take several scrubs before the vomit is completely removed.
Once the vomit has been removed, carefully rinse affected area of the tracksuit with lukewarm water. Use a light hand while rinsing, as too much force may cause fabric to stretch.
When the vomit stain is gone and the tracksuit has been rinsed, it's time to wash it. Follow the instructions on the care label to ensure that tracksuit does not shrink or become damaged during washing process.
Finally, dry the tracksuit in a well-ventilated area. Do not place garment in the dryer, as this could cause it to shrink or become damaged. Hang the tracksuit up to air dry, and it should be ready to wear again in no time!
