To begin, you’re going to need a few supplies:

  • White Vinegar
  • Baking Soda
  • Cold Water
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Clean Cloth or Sponge

Once you’ve rounded up your supplies, start by removing the excess vomit. Use a clean cloth or sponge dampened with cold water to blot the stain until it’s absorbed as much as possible. Do not rub, as this will cause the vomit to further sink into the fabric fibers.

Once you’ve removed as much of the vomit as you can, dampen the area with white vinegar. Let the vinegar sit for about 5-10 minutes, allowing it time to break down the stain molecules. Then, take a clean cloth or sponge and gently start to rub the stain until it starts to lift away.

After you’ve removed as much of the stain as you can, pour some baking soda onto area. The baking soda acts as a natural deodorizer, helping to remove any remaining smells associated with the vomit.

Finally, it’s time to launder your sweatpants! Put them in the washer with your regular laundry detergent and let them run through an entire cycle. If there are still traces of the vomit stain when the pants are done, repeat the above steps before laundering again. Keep repeating until you’ve removed all traces of stain.

With these steps, you should be able to easily remove vomit stains from your sweatpants. A little bit of elbow grease and patience goes a long way towards getting rid of the stains quickly and easily.
