Before you do anything else, use a spoon or dull knife to scrape up as much of the vomit solids as possible. Make sure there's no evidence of the stain left behind before moving onto the next step.
Once you’ve gone over the surface with the spoon or knife, spray the area with a pre-treatment solution. This can help loosen up the vomit so you can more easily get it out in a later step. Let pre-treatment sit for around 10 minutes.
Grab a few supplies before you start. You’ll need a clean cloth, cold water, laundry detergent, and some white vinegar. These items should be enough to help you get rid of the vomit stain.
Start by dipping the cloth in the cold water and squeeze out as much as possible. Then, lay the dampened cloth over the stain. Use your fingers to apply pressure and rub gently. This will help lift the vomit from the material.
Next, add a few drops of laundry detergent to the stain and mix it with a few drops of white vinegar. This combination creates a powerful cleaning mixture that should tackle the stain successfully. Rub the mixture into the stain for a few minutes and then rinse with cold water.
Once you’ve rubbed and rinsed the stain, run the suit under cold water to make sure all of the cleaning solution has been removed. Gently press down on the area with your fingers to ensure it’s free of any residue.
Finally, lay the suit flat on a drying rack and leave it to air dry. Once dried, check the area to make sure you’ve gotten rid of all traces of the vomit stain.
Removing vomit stains from your suit doesn’t have to be a challenge. As long as you have the right supplies and know the proper steps, you can easily tackle stain and get your suit looking like new again.
