Removing Fresh Stains

In case of fresh stains, it's important to act as quickly as possible. Begin blotting up as much of vomit as you can with several layers of paper towel or a clean, absorbent cloth. Avoid rubbing the stain in any way, as this will only further spread it into the material.

Once most of the liquid has been absorbed, sprinkle baking soda onto the area of the stain. Allow it to sit for 20 minutes, then vacuum up the baking soda.

Soak a sponge in cold water and gently scrub the area. Blot afterwards with a clean cloth to remove as much of the moisture as possible. Leave shoes to air dry.

Removing Dried Stains

Begin by vacuuming up any dried pieces of vomit from the surface of your shoes. Make sure to get in any creases and ridges.

Mix one teaspoon of dishwashing detergent with two cups of warm water. Soak a paper towel or clean cloth with solution, and wring out any excess liquid from it before applying it over the stained area. Leave the liquid on the shoes for 10 minutes.

Once that time has passed, dip a new sponge into some cold water and scrub the stained area. Rinse the shoe with a clean, wet cloth, then buff with a dry cloth. Allow the shoes to air dry.
