If you're stuck with stains on your shoes from vomit, have no fear: there are ways you can get rid of them. Here, we'll outline step-by-step instructions on how to clean up your shoes and get rid of the mess.
The first thing you'll want to do is scrape off any solid residue from the vomit. You can do this with a spoon, a spatula, or even a credit card. Be careful not to spread the stain further and make sure all the solid pieces are gone.
After you've scraped away any solids, use a damp cloth or paper towel to dab and blot the area. This will help to remove any additional residue from the surface of the shoe. Make sure you aren't scrubbing or rubbing vigorously as this could damage the material.
To remove any remaining traces of stain, pretreat the area with an enzyme-based cleaning solution. Spray it on and let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe away and rinse with cold water. Repeat this process as needed until stain is gone.
Once you've pretreated the area and removed the stain, put the shoes in the washing machine to get rid of any remaining residue. Add some laundry detergent and wash on a delicate cycle. Once done, air dry the shoes to make sure they don't shrink or get damaged.
Finally, ensure that area is completely sanitized by spraying it with a disinfectant solution. Let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe away and allow to dry. Your shoes should be good as new and free of any lingering vomit stains!
