The first thing you need to do is blot the stain with a paper towel or cloth to remove as much of the excess liquid as possible. Don't scrub or rub the stain; gently blot instead.
Once the excess liquid has been blotted away, apply a pre-treatment spray or liquid to the stain. Allow the pre-treatment to sit for several minutes before washing. This will help break down stain and make it easier to remove.
If you're using a machine to wash robe, choose a mild detergent. Avoid harsh detergents or bleaches that can strip color from the fabric. For hand-washing, use a gentle soap such as dish soap or laundry detergent.
Wash the robe in lukewarm water on gentle cycle. When the cycle is complete, rinse the robe with cold water. Be sure to rinse the robe until no detergent remains in the fabric.
Once the robe is washed, inspect the area for any lingering stains. If necessary, treat the stained area with a stain remover and allow it to sit for several minutes. Then rewash robe on the gentle cycle once more.
