Step 1: Blot Up the Vomit

Using a clean cloth or paper towel, carefully blot up as much of the vomit as possible. Don't rub it in or scrub, as this will cause stain to set.

Step 2: Pre-treat the Stain

Combine a few drops of mild liquid detergent with one cup of warm water. Dip an old toothbrush into the solution and gently rub it onto the stain in a circular motion. Let it soak for a few minutes.

Step 3: Wash Pumps

Fill a bucket or basin with warm water. Carefully submerge the pumps in the water and let them soak for a few minutes. Then use a mild liquid detergent or shampoo to gently wash away stain.

Step 4: Dry the Pumps

Lay the pumps down flat on a clean towel and let them air dry. Do not attempt to put them in the dryer, as they could shrink or become damaged.

Step 5: Repeat If Necessary

In some cases, the vomit stain may not be completely gone after the first round of cleaning. If this is the case, repeat steps 1-4 until stain is gone.

What type of detergent should I use?
It is best to use a mild liquid detergent such as Woolite or Dawn dish soap.

Should I put the pumps in the dryer?
No, do not put the pumps in the dryer as they could shrink or become damaged.
