What You’ll Need
- Baking Soda
- White Vinegar
- Lint-free Towel or Washcloth
- Old Toothbrush
- Detergent that is safe for the material of your shoes
- Clean Water
Steps to Follow
- Blot the Vomit Stain: Start by blotting up as much of the mess as you can with a lint-free towel or washcloth, making sure not to rub it further into the material.
- Create a Baking Soda Mixture: In a small bowl, combine baking soda and water to make a thick paste. If the stain has been on the shoes for a while, add a few drops of white vinegar to paste.
- Apply The Paste: Using an old toothbrush, apply paste directly to the vomit stain and allow it to sit for several minutes.
- Rinse Away the Paste: Rinse away the paste using warm water. The paste should help loosen the stain from the fabric.
- Wash Your Shoes: Fill a basin with warm water and add a mild detergent that is safe for the material of your shoes. Gently hand-wash the affected area and allow the shoes to air-dry.
