Steps to Clean Vomit Stains from Pencil Skirt
- Carefully remove as much vomit as possible, then flush with cold water.
- Soak stained area in a solution made of one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid, two tablespoons of white vinegar, and a liter of warm water for 30 minutes.
- Rinse the skirt in cold water and inspect the stain. If it’s still visible, apply a few drops of ammonia directly onto the stain.
- Re-soak the skirt in solution and let it sit for another 30 minutes.
- Rinse skirt again in cold water, and lay it on an old towel.
- Scrub stain gently with a soft-bristled brush and blot it with a clean cloth.
- Mix equal parts of laundry detergent and white vinegar and scrub the stain with the solution.
- Rinse with cold water and repeat the process until the stain is gone.
- Let the skirt air dry on a flat surface away from direct sunlight.
Tips and Warnings
- test a small inconspicuous area of skirt for colorfastness before proceeding with the cleaning process.
- Avoid using hot water or harsh detergents; these can set the stain and make it virtually impossible to remove.
