How to Quickly & Effectively Remove Vomit Stains from Peau de Soie

What You'll Need
- Paper towels
- A mild detergent
- White vinegar
- Borax
- Water
Instructions
- Gently blot the stain with paper towels to remove any excess vomit.
- Mix 1 tablespoon of a mild detergent in 2 cups of warm water and stir until it forms suds.
- Apply sudsy mixture to the affected area and lightly scrub it with a sponge.
- Rinse off any residue by blotting it with a clean, damp cloth.
- To further remove the stain, make a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water.
- Apply this solution to stain and scrub it lightly with a sponge.
- Rinse the area with a clean cloth.
- Make a paste of 3 parts Borax and 1 part water and apply it to stain.
- Allow paste to sit for about 20 minutes then rinse it off using cold water.
- Finally, wash the area as you normally would with a mild detergent.
Tips
- Be sure to test a small, inconspicuous area of the fabric before applying any cleaning solution.
- It may take several attempts to completely remove a vomit stain from Peau de Soie.
