Gather Supplies

You'll need a few materials before you start:

  • Bucket
  • Clean cloth
  • Non-abrasive brush
  • Mild cleaning solution
  • Vacuum cleaner

Rinse Shoes with Water

The first step is to rinse away any remaining vomit using cold water and a clean cloth. If your shoes are particularly soiled, you may want to rinse them in a bucket or sink of cold water. This will help get rid of any remaining chunks of vomit and make next step easier.

Scrub Away Stains

Once shoe has been rinsed off, use a non-abrasive brush and a mild cleaning solution to scrub away any remaining stains. Start in small circles and work your way around the entire shoe. Make sure to be gentle, as scrubbing too hard can damage material.

Vacuum and Dry Shoes

After scrubbing, use a vacuum cleaner to remove any remaining debris. Then let the shoes dry completely before wearing them again.

Prevent Future Vomit Stains

You've successfully removed the vomit stains, however, to prevent future stains, try treating your shoes with a protective product. This will help keep them looking new and make them easier to clean in case of unexpected messes.
