Steps to Remove Vomit Stains from Muslin Fabric

  1. If necessary, remove any remaining solid pieces from the fabric. This can be done with a pair of rubber gloves or spatula.
  2. For fresh vomit stains, apply some laundry detergent directly to the area and allow it to soak for approximately 10 minutes.
  3. Soak the fabric in cold water for an additional 30 minutes.
  4. Wash the fabric by hand or machine using the hottest water setting safe for fabric, as well as an enzyme-based detergent.
  5. Rinse the fabric and inspect if necessary.
  6. If the stain still remains, repeat Steps 3-5.
  7. Allow fabric to air dry.

Additional Tips

  • If the vomit is dry, add some baking soda onto the stain and then use a damp cloth to scrub off.
  • For tougher stains, opt for a commercial vomit remover product, following instructions on the label.
  • Always test any cleaning products used on a small area first to ensure there are no color changes or other damage to the fabric.
