Step 1: Blot the Vomit Stain Gently

First things first—grab a clean rag or a paper towel and blot the vomit stain gently. Do not scrub or rub in circles as that can spread the stain further and make it even harder to remove. Applying gentle pressure and dabbing is the best way to start tackling the stain.

Step 2: Apply an All-Purpose Cleaner

Once you’ve blotted the vomit stain, reach for an all-purpose cleaner like Formula 409 or Windex. Spray cleaner onto the stain and let it sit for a few minutes. You can also use a soft-bristled brush to work the cleaner into the fabric to help lift the stain.

Step 3: Rinse and Repeat

Once you’ve applied the cleaner, rinse mules with warm water. If the stain is still present, repeat Steps 2 and 3 until it’s gone. Once the stain has been removed, launder your mules as you normally would. Always test any stain remover in an inconspicuous area of fabric before applying it to the entire garment.
