Before you start, make sure you have all the necessary supplies. You will need white vinegar, baking soda, a sponge, a vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths, and lukewarm water. It is important that you have these items ready to ensure that no additional damage will be done to the fabric of your Marcella furniture.
The first step is to vacuum area affected by the vomit stains. This will help loosen the majority of it and make it easier to remove. Vacuum in one direction and focus on lifting stubborn spots with the nozzle.
Then, take your sponge and dip it in lukewarm water. Avoid using hot water, as this can cause the vomit stains to set in even deeper. Gently wring out the sponge so it is damp but not too wet.
Now, use the damp sponge to blot the vomit stain. Make sure that you are only using a light amount of pressure. Blotting will help lift stain from the fabric of your Marcella furniture.
Next, create a vinegar solution by combining one part white vinegar with two parts lukewarm water in a bowl. Dip the sponge into solution and wring it out. Now, use the sponge to gently scrub the vomit stain in circular motions.
After you have taken care of vomit stain, use the same sponge and dip it into a bowl of lukewarm, clean water. Use the sponge to rinse away the vinegar solution. Repeat if necessary.
Finally, sprinkle baking soda onto the vomit stain and let it sit for a few minutes. This will help absorb the moisture and help lift the stain. After a few minutes, use the sponge to gently scrub area. Finally, use a damp cloth to wipe away the baking soda and any remaining residue.
